Hear Jason T. Smith tell an incredible story of how Cora Sunny Sund, a shrewd businesswoman, built the Don The Beachcomber empire in conjunction with the Chicago Mob. This seminar will focus on the years 1940-1953 using Sund’s own financial ledgers for research.

Christina will be teaching the American style of Mah Jongg, a four-player game of both skill and luck. Vintage and antique sets will be on display during the class, where you’ll get a history of the game, introductory lessons, and an hour of social play.

Some of the retro artist types in attendance dig deep on their influences, techniques that make something feel more “retro”, vintage artists they like, and similar topics.
